Pre-requisite: Sewing School Basics or equivalent knowledge of sewing
A new PILLOWCASE is a great way to freshen bed linens. It's a good incentive to inexpensively redecorate a room, or an excellent gift to a friend, with matching pillowcases. The use of different fabrics can enhance an ordinary sleep experience. Use Satin to create a Protective Hair Style Pillowcase, or cotton for skin care.
This design features three coordinating fabrics for each pillowcase: one for the body, one for the contrasting cuff, and a third for the accent flange. The flange is optional but adds a nice pop of color between the two main fabrics.
Size: Twin
Skills learned: managing a larger amount of fabric, improving sewing straight lines & working with seam allowances, creating French seams, all equal - a neat, professional finished pillowcase
Supplies needed: Bring your sewing machine, thread, full bobbin, fabric scissors, straight pins, 1 yard cotton or satin fabric (main body fabric), 1/3 yd. for the cuff, 1/4 yd for the trim *this project is not for stretchy fabric
